Open from July 12, 2019 to May 9, 2020
The Gods and Kings of Egypt Exhibition is the result of eight years of work by the Egyptian craftsman Hany Mostafa, who, thanks to a special authorization from the Egyptian Government, has created an extensive series of replicas of emblematic monuments, sculptures, polychromies, mummies, sarcophagi and other unique objects of Ancient Egypt, forming a unique exhibition set in the world.
The exhibition is designed to offer visitors an omnicomprensive, unique and exceptional view of Ancient Egypt, covering its history, its monuments, its art, its iconography … and its mystery.
The exhibition offers an unparalleled opportunity to admire and get to know one of the richest cultures in Universal History, in 60 minutes.
With an area of 1,000 m2, the exhibition offers an exceptional opportunity to contemplate large-scale monuments together, such as the Temple of Abu Simbel with the facades of Nefertari and Ramses II and allows us to enter its rooms. In addition you can enter the funeral chamber of Tutankhamon on a real scale.
These monuments are enriched with representative sculptures of Gods and Kings, along with an exceptional sample of Egyptian polychromy. The set is surrounded by large panels that satisfy curiosity and knowledge, providing careful information about each exposed element. New technologies are also present through a welcome video in collaboration with the History television channel.
Already visited by more than 150,000 people in Madrid, the exhibition, Gods and Kings of Egypt, is designed for all audiences: adults, students, tourists and special groups but, singularly, it delights children, whether when they visit us in family, or at school outings.
